Energy Elevation

Energy Elevation is a free, two-minute assessment that shows where your energy peaks and drains across six altitudes of work, from the 30,000-foot view to the ground where things get finished.

Why energy, not time

It feels like time is what we're short on. It usually isn't. The real limit is energy, and energy isn't fixed the way time is: the work that lifts you gives back more than it costs. What drains you is rarely universal, either. The work that flattens you often lights someone else up. So the move is two-sided: do more of what raises your energy, and hand off what lowers it to the people it raises.

Every project runs through three bands of altitude. High altitude asks what we could do: Inquiring and Inventing. Mid altitude decides whether we will do it: Evaluating and Marshaling. Low altitude makes sure we did it: Supporting and Finishing. Most people come alive at some of those altitudes and fade at others. This finds yours.

Questions

What is Energy Elevation?

Energy Elevation is a free, two-minute assessment by Noah Isaacs of Realize HQ that shows where your energy peaks and drains across six altitudes of work, from the 30,000-foot view down to the ground where things get finished.

What are the six altitudes of work?

From high to low: Inquiring (asking the question nobody has raised), Inventing (making an answer from a blank page), Evaluating (judging which option will work), Marshaling (getting people moving and holding them to it), Supporting (unblocking other people) and Finishing (taking the work across the line). They fall into three bands: high altitude asks what we could do, mid altitude decides whether we will do it, and low altitude makes sure we did it.

How is Energy Elevation different from Working Genius?

It is inspired by Patrick Lencioni's Working Genius but measures differently. Instead of putting everyone into two geniuses, two competencies and two frustrations, it gives each altitude a score from 0 to 100, so your result is a curve that shows how strong, how sharp and what shape your energy is. It also shows a team's shape, not just whether each type is covered.

Is it free, and how long does it take?

It is free and takes about two minutes: 24 quick reactions to moments at work, then up to eight head-to-head choices. Your result is emailed to you.

Can I compare my result with my team?

Yes. Start a team from your result and send the link. Everyone who takes it from that link joins the team page, which shows everyone's curves together, how many people get energy from each altitude, where the team is thin, and who complements whom. Teammates see first names and curves, never answers or emails.
